Chris Evans took over as the lead presenter of the British motoring show "Top Gear" in 2015, following the departure of longtime host Jeremy Clarkson. Evans co-hosted the show alongside Matt LeBlanc, Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz, Rory Reid, and The Stig.
However, Evans's tenure on "Top Gear" was short-lived as he announced his departure from the show after just one series due to declining ratings and criticism of his presenting style. Despite this, he still earned praise for his enthusiasm and passion for cars.
Following his departure, Matt LeBlanc took over as the lead presenter of "Top Gear" until 2019 when he also announced his departure from the show. The show continues to air with a rotating cast of presenters.
